If it is all about being, what is being all about?
The concept of being is rather simple, yet it’s covered with so many layers of misperception that really grasping it is a longstanding challenge.
A significant part of ‘being’ comes from the act of living in a mindful way.
Living mindfully genuinely makes a significant difference in our life and in all of the lives we touch. It’s an important piece of a framework being present and aware.
Succinctly, mindfulness is a tool for living well.

Dating back to ancient times, and spanning many cultures, mindfulness—and meditation—are garnering the attention of modern Western society and the scientific community in new ways.
The scientifically-backed benefits of mindfulness coupled with meditation are as intriguing as they are vast in scope.
Studies show mindfulness meditation actually changes the brain and increases gray matter density. It can help do things like improve memory, concentration, and performance, and help fight insomnia and improve disturbed sleep. Beyond that, meditation is associated with feeling better as well as improved physical and mental health, including cardiovascular health and even perceptual discrimination.
One of my favorite apps for meditation, Headspace, has more great information on the science behind meditation as it pertains to stress, creativity, focus, anxiety, and relationships.
In short, the benefits to mindfulness and meditation are expansive and there is a rapidly growing catalog of scientific evidence verifying it.
Beyond the aforementioned benefits, mindfulness is a tool which can help across all of life.
It can help us deal with mundane tasks such as washing the dishes, cleaning the floor, or clearing out household clutter. Beyond the mundane, mindfulness can help us take on the biggest challenges in life, from spotting amazing opportunities, overcoming relationship struggles, coping with depression, taking on fear, and growing happiness.
